Rev. Scott Baird, Senior Pastor
Rev. Scott Baird has been a pastor in the United Methodist Church since July of 1994. He completed his education at St Paul's Theological Seminary in Kansas City Missouri, and has a heart for evangelism. Pastor Scott is the author of a confirmation book entitled "Foundations of Christian faith," and is an active member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Pastor Scott and his wife Denise have been married for 30 years and have three children and 5 grandchildren, and they have enjoyed being in ministry here at the first United methodist Church of Du Quoin.
Abby Emling, Administrative Secretary
Abby Emling was employed by FUMC as Administrative Secretary in Oct., 2008. Abby brings considerable office experience to our church through her long tenure at No Greater Love Ministries in DuQuoin.
Abby Emling, Youth Ministry Coordinator
Abby was born and raised in Metropolis, IL. She received Christian Education training from McKendree University, Lebanon, IL, where she met and married her husband, Adam. Together they have two teenage children. Abby has been working with youth for over 25 years. She enjoys building relationships with youth and helping them address the challenges they face today.
Janice Zakinski, Custodian
Janice has served FUMC faithfully as custodian for over ten years. She truly believes that cleanliness is next to Godliness and keeps our facilities in tip-top order at all times. She views her maintenance and custodial chores as a ministry of service to our Lord.
