Rev. Michael E. Ebersohl, M.Div., Lead Pastor
Mike was born and raised in Southern Illinois. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from SIU-Carbondale in the field of music and religious studies, and is a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. His ministry began in 1980 as a student local pastor and has continued through seminary and ordination as an Elder in the United Methodist Church. Mike has served churches in central and southern Illinois through the Illinois Great Rivers Conference. He is married to Laurel and together they have a teenage daughter and one spoiled West Highland White Terrier.
Abby Emling, Administrative Secretary
Abby Emling was employed by FUMC as Administrative Secretary in Oct., 2008. Abby brings considerable office experience to our church through her long tenure at No Greater Love Ministries in DuQuoin.
Abby Emling, Youth Ministry Coordinator
Abby was born and raised in Metropolis, IL. She received Christian Education training from McKendree University, Lebanon, IL, where she met and married her husband, Adam. Together they have two teenage children. Abby has been working with youth for over 25 years. She enjoys building relationships with youth and helping them address the challenges they face today.
Janice Zakinski, Custodian
Janice has served FUMC faithfully as custodian for over ten years. She truly believes that cleanliness is next to Godliness and keeps our facilities in tip-top order at all times. She views her maintenance and custodial chores as a ministry of service to our Lord.
